臺中關進一步表示，海關受理貨物進出口之申報與審驗係採取貨物通關自動化制度，由於核課稅捐之相關事實資料多半掌握於納稅義務人手中，因此籲請進口人務必遵循法令、善盡協力義務，對於進口貨物的各項資訊誠實申報，不僅可加速貨物通關，對於提升關稅可預見性及納稅者權益保護也能有實質的幫助。

Taichung Customs further states that the Customs receives and verifies the declaration of imported goods by using the automatic customs clearance system. Since the taxpayers have most information relevant to their transactions the importers are required to comply with the laws and fulfill their obligations. Declaring complete information of imported goods honestly will not only speed up customs clearance but also substantially help to raise tariffs predictability and protect of taxpayers' rights and interests.
